'The Things We Love' (March 2017)

Welcome to our very first,

‘The Things We Love.’ ❤️

Each month, we’ll be sharing just a few of the things we’ve loved over the last few weeks, and it really could be anything….

an item of clothing, flowers for the garden, a toy, an ornament, a place we’ve been, a product we’ve been sent or a product we’ve bought…..

just whatever we’ve been loving that month!

In March, we saw the start of some lovely sunny days. There was also Mother’s Day and our Easter preparations began, so there’s been a few little treats.

Starting with,

Libby’s Bows

These bows are so well made and sit lovely in the girls hair. We’ve bought from Libbys Bows twice now and will definitely be buying again. There’s so many lovely designs to choose from and they’re the perfect size too. The bows arrive in such lovely packaging, which makes them feel extra special for the girls to open.

Easter Skirts by Sweethearts & Sugarplums

We ordered these skirts and matching hair wrap sets from Sweethearts & Sugarplums.  They are beautifully well made and a perfect fit for the each of the girls. Sweethearts & Sugarplums have quite a selection of gorgeous fabrics, but I just adore Peter Rabbit and with Easter on it’s way, it just had to be this fabric for the girls. I know I’m biased, but I think these two look absolutely adorable in them.  💕

Baker Ross – Easter Crafts

I worked as a Childminder for a few years and frequently bought craft materials from Baker Ross. The quality is really good and they have some fantastic themed crafts. We bought a selection from their Easter range and had great fun with them! The train was a little fiddly, as the foam just didn’t want to stay in places, but it looked fabulous when we’d finished. Our favourite had to be the Easter Wands. They were so easy to make and also look great sat in a with a potted plant, as a little Easter decoration.

Letterbox Lab Science Kits

If you’ve been over to the blog recently, you’ll see we reviewed these fantastic Letterbox Science Kits.

The girls absolutely loved them and they just had to be here on the things we loved in March! The experiments were so much fun and we all learnt a lot too.

If you’d like to take sneak peek inside the boxes (launching 18 April 2017), click here: Letterbox Lab – Investigate Box 1 Review to read our review and link to their wonderful website.

The Week Junior

The Week Junior is a current affairs magazine for children aged between 8 and 14. It’s filled with fascinating news stories and information, encouraging children to “explore and understand the world around them.”  My eldest daughters really enjoy recieving this magazine. The new articles are written for their age and the girls often go on to tell me the latest news events with such a good understanding. I think it’s important for them to know what’s going on in the world, but sometimes, as a Parent,  it can be hard to know how to word or begin discussing certain news events. We’ve found the magazines a great starting point and we’ve all had some wonderful conversations.

Ginger Jewellery

I treated myself to this gorgeous, handmade bracelet from Ginger Jewellery Ltd. I just adore the simplicity of it.

The Rose Gold solid heart sits on a pale pink leather bracelet and the clasp is magnetic, so it’s easy to get on with one hand.

It fits lovely around my wrist and I’ve had so many compliments already!

A Mothers Day Gift – Cath Kidston Bag

I’m a huge Cath Kidston fan and bags are my weakness. I just love them! So, this was an absolutely perfect Mothers a Day gift for me. It’s a great size (i.e. big enough to carry a full size packet of those, all important, baby wipes). It also compliments pretty much everything in my wardrobe and I’m just loving items with birds on at the moment. Plus, they have a sale on, so it was an absolute bargain too!

Birch Box

In March, I received my first Birch Box. I am a complete novice when it comes to make up and beauty products, but, as I’m getting older, I’m starting to feel I’d like to be making more of an effort. I loved my first box, particularly the nail polish and lipstick. My eldest daughter was shocked that I have never used dry shampoo before! I fear I have a lot to learn. Can’t wait for my next box. 🙂

The Duck is back!

If you follow our Instagram & Facebook page, you may remember a little incident with the duck. Basically, I superglued my hand to it, trying to fix its broken foot! 🙄 Anyway, that one ended up in the bin and I couldn’t find another. At the end of the month, I came across this gorgeous little duck in Asda and had to take him home.

Thank you for taking a look at the things we’ve loved in March. We can’t wait to share April with you at the end of the month.
