Sports Direct Christmas Gifts #sdfiverchallenge

Sports Direct Christmas Gifts #sdfiverchallenge

Christmas can be an expensive time of year. With four daughters and many family members to buy for, I’m always on the look out for bargains.

So, when BritMums asked if I‘d like to take part in a ‘gifts for £5 challenge,’ purchasing gifts for around £5 each, was intrigued…. even more so, when they said from Sports Direct!

Before visiting www.sportdirect.com I fully expected all the gifts to be sports related, such as golf balls or socks, and was a little concerned, because we’re not much of a sporting family. However, I was in for quite a surprise.

Once on their webpage, I clicked on ‘Christmas’ and was presented with a variety of useful category searches. I could search by ‘Sport,’ ‘Personality,’ ‘Price’ and more.

I was amazed at the huge range of gifts available, and at great prices too! There really is something for everyone, whether a sports fan or not.

So, what did I buy?

Well, I have to say, I was a little spoilt for choice, but decided on….

  • Two little Yankee Candles, for £3.99* each.

These will make a perfect edition to a couple of Christmas Hampers I’m putting together and smell wonderful.

  • A Minnie Mouse and Frozen hair clip and necklace gift set, at only £1.25* each.

These will be a great stocking filler for my youngest two daughters.

  • A Frozen Pom Pom craft set, at £2*.

I’m going to pop this into the girl’s Christmas Eve Box for a bit of crafting fun.

  • Fairy Wings and wand set, at £2.99*.

These will also be going in the Christmas Eve Box. They only had one in stock at the time I ordered, so I’ll be picking up another of these sets soon, so my youngest daughters can both have one.

  • Set of Beatles badges, £1.69* a set.

Perfect for my fashion conscious sister. They’ll make a great extra little gift and will look fabulous on one of her coats or bags.

  • An Iron Man mug, at £4.50*.

My Nephew is a huge Avengers fan, so when I spotted the next two items, they just had to go in my basket. Sports Direct do a fantastic range of Chracter mugs. This one is a great size and I know my Nephew will love it.

  • Avengers Mega Activity Set. Slightly over budget, at £7.50*.

This set will make a lovely gift for my Nephew, along with the mug. With so much to do inside, I feel it was a great buy.

  • Sofia Mega Artists Set, also slightly over budget, at £6*.

It’s actually much bigger than I expected and will definitely wow my 4 year old daughter when she receives it.

  •  Music Player Storybook, again at £6*.

Keeping with the Sofia theme, I also bought this sweet little music player Storybook for my youngest daughter. As this is a present, I’ve not yet tried it out, but visually, it really does look beautiful.

  • Flutterbye Fairies, £6* each.

And lastly, again for my youngest daughters, these magical Flutterbye Fairies. The girls saw these last year, but I felt they were a little too expensive for what they were. But, at just £6 each from Sports Direct, I’ve decided to surprise the girls this year.

Before being set this challenge, I would never have thought to look at Sports Direct for anything other than sporting gifts, so this has been a real eye opener.

www.sportsdirect.com was easy to use and navigate around. Payment went through with ease and my items arrived within a week. Unfortunately, the box it arrived in was rather battered, but the contents was fine. My only real niggle is with with the price stickers. Each item arrived with a price sticker attached. Some peeled off easier than others, with a few items being left with a light sticky residue. However, I’m fairly sure my girls won’t notice on Christmas Day.

Despite the low prices, each product appears to be of very good quality. I’m really pleased with my purchases from Sports Direct and I hope my recipients will love them too.

Thank you so much to BritMums and Sports Direct for the challenge.

Note: This post is an entry for BritMums Christmas #sdfiverchallenge, sponsored by Sportsdirect.com. For the purposes of this challenge, Sports Direct gifted £30 towards the price of the products and postage. However, all words and opinions are my own.
