When we were asked if we’d like to take part in our very own Cookie Quest, to support The Great Oreo Cookie Quest, it was the start of some pretty challenging weather. Freezing temperatures, snow, ice and rain! We had no family days out planned, but we still had some fun adventures….
School was closed, so it wasn’t long at all before the cupboards were running bare, so we headed off in to town. With no sledge, we pulled the swing ball game out of the shed, removed the lid and made a handle, using some string. We could now tow the younger ones.
As you can see, it worked!
After several stops for snow ball fights …..
and a little more improvisation to get the supplies back,
we settled back at home for some family games and a snack.
This is actually what I love most about these ‘snow days.’ Because everything stops, you suddenly have more time for all those things you’ve been missing, like family time! We played endless games. There was so much laughter….
….and then a little treat to top it all off.
The girls enjoy nothing more than dipping their Oreos into milk. Miss A likes to break hers up, leaving just one half containing the creamy filling. Personally, I don’t have the patience for this and prefer to dunk the whole biscuit in to some warm milk.
Just a week later, the sun was out and we ventured out with the scooters, without our coats (!!) and this time, we took the Oreos out with us…..
Just for fun, can you spot how many Oreos appear throughout this post? The girls loved hiding them.
I hope you enjoyed our little Oreo Cookie Quest Challenge. To be in with a chance of winning a range of prizes, including a once-in-a-lifetime wonder-filled trip to California and the Googleplex, just following the instructions on promotional packs. T&Cs apply.
