This Sunday, was all about ‘family’ and spending time together. It was also the last day of the School Holidays and unfortunately, we’d had to cancel many of our Half Term plans, due to Miss A coming down with Chicken Pox just a few days before it began!
As she was now better, we decided to treat the girls to a meal at our local Prezzo, to try out one of their La Famiglia pasta sharing dishes.
We could have chosen from Penne Arrabiata, Spaghetti Carbonara, Penne Alla Rusticana or Spaghetti Bolognese.
The obvious, unanimous vote, went to the Spaghetti Bolognese… the girl’s favourite!
The La Famiglia feeds up to four adults, which we think is about right. The portion sizes are good and we found it could easily have fed all six of us, with garlic breads, as a lighter lunch. It arrived in a huge bowl, placed in the centre of our table and looked amazing. The girls could not wait to get stuck in.
It was the most perfect family meal. It felt so much more of a social occasion. There were giggles, messy mouths and competitions to see who could slurp their Spaghetti the quickest.
There was no one regretting their choice and wishing they had their sister’s meal for a change. Plus, the girls ate more than usual! Everyone each had at least two helpings, as the girls encouraged each other to eat more, in a bid to empty the large bowl of Spaghetti in front of them.
Being able to share the meal as a family was really special and it made for a such a lovely dining experience….
The La Famiglia was a definite hit with Miss L in particular….

Note. In order to write this post, we were given a voucher towards the cost of the meal, however, all words and opinions are our own, and we will most definitely be back to enjoy another.
